The Think electric car, Think electric car reviewed, the green Think electric car, Think electric car statistics, Think electric car facts.
The Think City is a city car the battery is speed-limited to 62 miles an hour although without the limiter it can go up to 90mph, it’s nimble and quick and goes about 112 miles on a single charge, the factroy that puts it together is in Aurskog, Norway but the various parts for it come from all over the world.
There are no showrooms or salespeople selling the Think, if you want to test drive one you have to send a text message to the nearest Think car sharing franchise, then after your test drive if you want to buy one you just order it online and talking of online each Think comes internet ready so you can do things like send it a text to see if the battery has a full charge and when it’s time for a service it will send you an email, just so you don’t forget.
The most expensive part of the Think is the battery, so the company is going to sell you the car but lease you the battery which will bring down the price and when the battery degrades and you get less mileage from it then you just lease a new one.
One of the companys behind both the Think and the Tesla electric cars is a private equity firm called Capricorn Investment Group, they are looking at launching a company to lease batteries to run electric cars and when the batteries are no longer any good for that use they can still be used to hold a large electrical charge so the company is going to use them in office buildings to hold green electricity and possibly even feed it back into the grid.
